"The Cannibal": he is the most winning rider in the cycling history! Merckx won 5 Tour de France, 5 Giri d'Italia, 7 Milan-Sanremo, 3 World Championships.
FELICE GIMONDI (1937-)
A great competitor of Merckx. He obtained the victory in Tour de France of 1965 and in World Championship of 1973. He won Milan-Sanremo and Paris-Roubaix too.
VITTORIO ADORNI (1937-)
World Champion in 1968. He won Giro d'Italia in 1965.
LUIS OCANA (1945-1994)
He was the first great Spanish cyclist. Ocana was an all-around rider. Tour de France of 1973 was his most important victory. He committed suicide in 1994.
WALTER GODEFROOT (1943-)
He won all the classic races (from Paris-Roubaix to Liegi) in spite of a great Merckx. After the career he became an important team manager.
BERNARD HINAULT (1954-)
Great French rider. He won all the most important races: 5 Tour de France, 3 Giri d'Italia, 1 World Championship. It's hard to find a complete signature of Hinault. Usually he wrote just "HB".
MORENO ARGENTIN (1960-)
Rare picture with a young Argentin. He was a shrewd rider. Argentin is a King of the classic races (he won 4 Liegi-Bastogne-Liegi) and he won the Pro World Championship in 1986.
GUIDO BONTEMPI (1960-)
Sprinter, protagonist of the ’80 years. He won a lot of stages in TdF & Giro. Bontempi is very young in this picture!
ROGER DE VLAEMINCK (1947-) & ERIC VANDERAERDEN (1962-)
Curious picture of two great Belgian riders. De Vlaeminck was the King of classic races during '70 years (4 Roubaix, 3 Milan-Sanremo ...). Vanderaerden, very youn in this image, won Parigi-Roubaix and Tour of Flanders.
PEDRO "PERICO" DELGADO (1960-)
TdF winner in 1988 and Vuelta Espana winner in 1989.
